The money will go to charity if it is not
claimed by March

The holders of a winning lottery ticket worth more than £3.6m have less than a week to go before the prize deadline expires, the National Lottery has said.

The ticket was bought in the Highlands for the main Lotto draw held on 23 September.

The winning numbers were 23, 25, 28, 41, 46 and 47.

The National Lottery said the person who purchased the ticket had until 22 March to claim the prize before the money was given to charity.

The ticket was bought in the constituency of Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey.

Winning ticket

A National Lottery spokeswoman said the winner had until 1730 GMT next Monday to claim their jackpot prize.

She added: "Time really is running out for the winner... but we are still hopeful that someone will come forward at the last minute to claim the money.

"We're urging everyone to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing Lotto ticket could be hiding.

Anyone who believes they have the winning ticket should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
